The Shift

Rail work in Canada has new rules

Metrolinx and other Canadian rail authorities now require compliant movement-limiting devices on hydraulic boom equipment working in rail corridors. Operators need a system that's compliant out of the box, easy to install on new and existing equipment, and supported locally — on the tracks or at the yard.

The System

Rated Capacity Limiter (RCL)

Automatically stops lifting or movement at the safe limit. A hydraulic cut-out prevents overloads before they happen — no operator judgment call required.

Movement Limiting Device (MLD)

Restricts height, slew, and reach to prevent breaches into restricted zones. Pre-programmed and Field-Adjustable virtual walls keep equipment inside the work envelope at all times.
